Today, retired Brigadier General and Republican candidate for U.S. Congress Don Bacon released the following statement about the King v. Burwell SCOTUS Decision:
"The Supreme Court decision today on ACA was bad news for America and Nebraska. The Court took the simple English that was written nine times in the ACA law that forbid subsidies in states that didn't have their own exchanges, and essentially re-wrote the law.
Nebraska's Second District wants a Congressman who will vote to repeal and replace ACA I will do that when I am elected. We don't want Washington, D.C. bureaucrats in charge of our health care. Costs and deductibles are already rising, many have lost access to the doctors and policies they've liked for years, and many have coverages now they don't want that adds to their premiums. The one size fits all Washington D.C. bureaucratic mindset doesn't work for our health care.
Nebraska's Second District won't have to wonder where I stand on ACA now, or in the future."
