Two thirds of Illinois corporations pay no state tax at all -- not a single dime.
Laura Murphy believes it is unacceptable for corporations to take state tax breaks and then move jobs out of Illinois. Laura believes that it's time big corporations paid their fair share for roads, schools and public safety.
Furthermore, she'll fight for laws that require businesses that move jobs out of State to refund the tax breaks they receive.
"We need to hold these corporations accountable for the tax breaks they're already receiving and make them pay their fair share. I want to see small businesses get job-creating capital, tax credits and contracting opportunities. Additionally, I want to expand tax credits for working families earning less than $100,000 a year to strengthen their purchasing power or help them save for college or retirement." -- Senator Laura Murph
