Issue Position

Our system of education is woefully underfunded by our state government. This results in high property taxes and schools that don't have the resources to properly educate our children. I will propose a Prioritized Funding Plan that will force the state to live up to its obligation and properly fund our public schools.

Teachers are professional educators who have a great passion for the work that they do. Instead of attacking them, we should be listening to them and applying the ideas that these professionals have for improving curriculum in schools and better addressing the needs of our students.
