oday, Governor Pete Ricketts announced his appointment of Rodney D. Reuter to the County Court of the Third Judicial District Court of Nebraska.
Reuter, 53, has been a Deputy County Attorney at the Office of the Lancaster County Attorney since 1990. His assignments have included Lancaster County Court, District Court, and Juvenile Court; Felony and Misdemeanor Drug Prosecutions; and the Lancaster County Mental Health Board. He is currently assigned to Lancaster County Drug Court.
He previously served as a Law Clerk for the Lancaster County Attorney.
Reuter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Peru State College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
The Third Judicial District for the County Court consists of portions of Lancaster County.
The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge James L. Foster.
