Issue Position: Stand up for Government Transparency

Issue Position

Our government should not hide its actions from its citizens. I promise to stand up for transparency in government -- a kind of transparency that will encourage public trust and foster growth. With open government, our legislators will be less likely to make decisions without carefully considering future consequences and costs. Legislators will be less likely to overstep, and citizens will be more confident in their understanding of the issues that Kentucky faces. By encouraging our communities to be more involved in the legislative processes, perhaps our poor voter numbers will increase as Kentuckians find more reasons to participate in their government.
