Issue Position

Our children need a quality education to succeed in today's complex economy and further cuts put that goal in jeopardy. That is why I voted against the 84th legislative budget because millions of dollars were left on the table that should have gone towards better funding for our public schools and teacher pay raises. Moreover, our retired teachers deserve the peace of mind in knowing that their future benefits are secure. That is why I supported HB2 that provides $768 million to stabilize the retiree health insurance program.
