The statistics are awful, but statistics don't matter to the men, women and children who are homeless, or living in poverty. It's not laziness. It's not a lifestyle choice. It's a failure on the part of the richest government in human history to make as secure a safety net for her people as she makes for her businesses. I'll fight to create jobs and keep people who are a paycheck away from disaster safely in their homes. I'll fight to make it just as possible for a person in District 90 to climb up and succeed as Austin has made it for a big business to succeed.
