Issue Position

Many residents of the Third Congressional District live in Co-op housing. Steve will work to reform financing regulations that impose onerous pre-payment penalties on Co-mortgages and reform Fannie Mae guidelines to ensure fairness for hard working families. When elected to Congress Steve will follow in Congressman's Israel footsteps by reintroducing the Disaster Relief for Housing Cooperative Act - legislation that amends current FEMA practices and forces them to provide assistance for common interest communities, condominiums, and housing cooperatives damaged by a major disaster.
