Issue Position

We live in dangerous and unstable times. As our Congressman, national security will be Steve's top priority. It is critical to have a strong leader who will protect our interests around the globe. Steve believes we need to be tough and smart to keep Americans safe at home and defeat ISIS and other terrorist groups abroad. We must partner with our allies -- bankrupting ISIS with an economic embargo and bombing ISIS strongholds.

Our unique relationship with the State of Israel is important, not only because of Israel's critical role as the only democracy in the Middle East and a bulwark of human rights in the region, but as our partner in the war on terror. Israeli citizens live every day with the threat of terror. Surrounded by hostile nations since its creation in 1948, out of the ashes of the Holocaust, Israel has had to fight every day to protect her right to exist. Steve understands our special relationship, firsthand. He has stood on the Israel-Gaza border in Sderot and watched as rockets flew overhead. He will fight to rebuild our relationship with Israel because Steve understands that Israel's security is vital to our national security. Steve knows there is no greater way to show our commitment to Israel's security than by continuing to support and fund crucial programs like Iron Dome and David's Sling in order to maintain Israel's qualitative military advantage.
