American laws differ from the majority of foreign laws. We have freedom of religion, speech, the press, the Second Amendment, due process and many other values/rights that don't exist in foreign laws (not all together that is). The late Representative Dwayne Alons sponsored a bill that would keep foreign laws out of our courts, and current Representative John Kooiker has also supported such a measure. I will also support this sort of bill. I believe we have the greatest country in the world, and Iowa is one of the greatest states. We should keep our own laws for us, and not use foreign, failed laws on our own turf.
