Issue Position

Currently, Louisiana serves as the world's prison capital, incarcerating more people per capita than any place on Earth.

We must commit to reforming our criminal justice system by not only being tough, but smart on crime. We can achieve this by working toward solutions that ensure fair punishments for nonviolent crimes, and promoting fairer enforcement of the laws that keep our communities safe.
