U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement this afternoon in honor of Memorial Day:
"This Memorial Day, I join all Nebraskans in honoring the selfless sacrifice of our service members who died fighting for the freedom we enjoy today. As we remember the fallen, we are also reminded of the dedication of the brave men and women who currently serve our nation every day all over the world.
"I wish all Nebraskans a safe and happy Memorial Day. Let us never forget the meaning of this day and the Americans who gave their lives so that we could be free."
