Today, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, applauded the passage of a bipartisan resolution recognizing National Small Business Week (May 4-8). Fischer released the following statement regarding the resolution this morning:
"Small Business Week is an important time to show our support for Nebraska's small businesses and the role they play in growing our communities and our economy. This resolution recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit of our nation's small business owners. I encourage all Nebraskans to come out and support Small Business Week in Nebraska."
The Senate's National Small Business Week resolution honors the vital role our nation's job creators and entrepreneurs play in growing our economy. It also recognizes the importance of creating a business-friendly regulatory environment. Small Business Committee Chairman David Vitter (R-La.) and Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) introduced the resolution yesterday.
Senator Fischer cosponsored three bills that were approved by the Senate Small Business Committee last month, including The Veterans Entrepreneurship Act, The CLEAR Act, and The CREED Act. Each of these bills provide incentives to small businesses so that they can grow and create jobs.
