Today, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) released the following statement regarding the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that shook Nepal on Saturday.
"My deepest condolences go out to all those who have been impacted by yesterday's devastating earthquake and its aftershocks. The United States is working closely with Nepal to provide as much assistance and support as they need during this time. My sincerest thoughts are with those in Connecticut whose loved ones remain missing; please know that we are working diligently to ensure their safe return home. I will do everything I can for Connecticut families affected by this tragedy."
