New Hampshire State Legislative Election 2022 Political Courage Test

a) Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Yes b) Do you support legalizing abortion when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
Yes c) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
As a lifelong advocate for personal liberty, I believe that choosing to terminate a pregnancy is a profoundly personal choice, which may involve religious beliefs and medical considerations. My personal belief is that life begins at conception and should be protected. Nevertheless, it is not the province of the state to legislate all of these nuances. That said, the existing 6-month ban has, in my current opinion, generally appropriate and adequate exceptions, and I support the statute. Moreover, I don't believe tax dollars should be allocated to fund a choice that goes against the moral fiber of so many Americans.
