Florida Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
I would not usually support the government providing any compensatory funding to corporations, but in the case of an arbitrary government shutdown, businesses should be provided relief similar to that provided in the case of eminent domain.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
In certain cases, the federal government has a role to play in protecting our natural resources. Protecting our overall economic freedom, however, should be their primary objective.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
For the most part, the United States needs to avoid unjustified conflict worldwide. However, we also must recognize the special relationship we have with our ally Israel and must make sure that they are never abandoned.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Generally, we should promote free trade among our key military allies. Those who are not our allies or are in a posture of opposition to our interests (such as China) need to be recognized as such, and our economic policies should be designed to protect our workers and our economy from being compromised.
Balanced budget and total debt repayment, a secure border, and military preparedness would be my top 3 priorities. We can do it with a combination of reduced spending and expanded economic opportunity through tax cuts and regulatory reform.
