| Pro-life | Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | ||
| I am proudly Pro-Life and as a young, millennial woman, I have the distinct opportunity to advocate my pro-life beliefs to a new generation of Americans that is most affected by this issue. I personally am pro-life because my mother chose life when pregnant with me despite strong objections by her doctors and family for medical reasons. She was told she would most likely not survive the pregnancy. Even with the incredible pressure, she held firm and was able to deliver a healthy child safely. I thank her everyday for choosing life. | |||
| No | In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket? | ||
| No | Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare? | ||
| We do not have a revenue problem in this country, we have a spending problem. It is imperative for us to balance our budgets and address our out-of-control debt and deficit, but in order to do so, we must cut spending. In order to protect the programs that people have paid into their whole lives, we must first work to make the programs solvent. Eliminating the waste, fraud and abuse is the first and most important step. Increasing taxes is not a part of that solution for me. | |||
| No | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? | ||
| As decided by the Supreme Court, financial contributions is classified as free speech. Infringing on that is an infringement on our first Amendment and as a Constitutional conservative, I am committed to protecting our Constitutional rights. | |||
| Yes | Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct? | ||
|
|||
| Yes | Do you support increasing defense spending? | ||
| Over several the last several decades, our military has seen a decrease in readiness and ability to meet the increasing security challenges of our time due to partisan fights on Capitol Hill. There are tremendous opportunities to streamline and cut waste from the DOD before increasing defense spending but regardless, the number one charge of the federal government remains the same - national defense. We must continue to make smart investments in our military readiness and national defense. | |||
| No | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| Yes | Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| No | Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19? | ||
| The COVID crisis presented an unpresented challenge to businesses but the package ultimately passed was riddled with waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars and didn't provide the relief as intended. In addition to zero interest loans, the government should look to provide regulatory relief immediately to these businesses which are often exceptionally costly to business. Issuing a payroll tax extension and general tax relief would also bring much needed stability to this situation. | |||
| No | Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards? | ||
| With regards to education, I firmly believe in local control and school choice. Our parents, teachers, and elected officials on the local level are far more qualified to address the educational needs of our students than a bureaucrat in Washington implementing a one-size-fits-all approach. | |||
| No | Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)? | ||
| No | Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions? | ||
| Yes | Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")? | ||
| No | Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border? | ||
| Yes | Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? | ||
| First and foremost, we must enforce the laws already on the books. Second, we must build the wall and secure our borders. Only then can we have a serious conversation about the steps necessary to begin fixing our broken immigration system. | |||
| Yes | Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)? | ||
| Yes | Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts? | ||
| If there are direct threats to America, I certainly believe we need to take action. However, in order to do so, there must be a congressional declaration of war and a clear strategy outlined for the American people. I do not support the endless wars in the Middle East (or anywhere) and strongly believe that it is time to bring our soldiers home. I personally will push for a strong deterrence strategy when it comes rouge nations looking to pursue weapons of mass destruction. Exhausting all other options before taking military action is the prudent and responsible action. | |||
| Yes | Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)? | ||
| I believe in free trade, but trade policies must be first advantageous to the American worker and our economy. I strongly subscribe to President Trump's America First strategy and believe that too many trade deals from the past put our country at an economic disadvantage that must be remedied. | |||
| It is imperative that our next generation of leaders focus on addressing our ever-growing debt and deficit. I would advocate for a balanced budget amendment because we must hold our leaders responsible for spending more than we are able to. Defending the right to bear arms will also be a top priority if I am elected. I am adamant about protecting this basic right and will work hard to ensure that it shall not be infringed. I am also a strong supporter of building a wall on our southern border and fixing our broken immigration system. |
