| We should have had an emergency fund in place. I called our Senator with my idea for payroll protection. The key was to announce on day one not to lay people off. The plan would provide a payroll grant of 2 weeks at a time so no one business would take a huge lump sum. Monitoring at the county level we could get as many businesses back to work as quickly as possible, minimizing the economic impact. No expanded unemployment nor free money was necessary, and the cost would have been significantly less. Now let's get everyone back to work! | |||

For the most part, our meddling is not wanted anyway, but for those who desire our support, we stand ready to back them. | |||
