I voted no on the tax increase this year. I would vote to put the graduated income tax on the ballot because it needs to be passed as a constitutional amendment, but only if there were comprehensive brackets put out before so that way voters had the ability to know exactly what they are voting for.

For question d, I am looking at the research about options and looking at it from the standpoint that it is a pro-choice issue. For e, it's a matter of the first amendment and should be left up to the courts.

I will be continuing to focus on gun violence prevention legislation including a statewide ban on assault rifles and gun dealer licensing. I also will be working on mental health parity and extracting federal dollars for treatment programs. I also will be focusing on helping Illinois create more clean energy jobs.
