Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I'm only able to run for office because my community took responsibility for the next generation. I owe everything to my mother who worked overtime to keep us afloat, my teachers in Round Rock ISD who devoted themselves to my education, and my neighbors who came together to fund my college education. Because of their commitment, I've been able to attend some of the best universities in the world and pay it forward to the next generation through my work as a public school teacher and nonprofit leader. Politicians, from the White House to the State House, have forgotten what responsibility means. This is why I'm running: to bring common sense and common decency back to our state government so we can move Texas forward.
