Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am a civil engineer and a businessman. I am not a politician and have never ran for office before.
I have a lifetime of experiences serving God and our community, being devoted to my wife, raising a family, and running a successful business in a highly competitive market. I know the burden of government over-regulation, its effect on business and its intrusion into our daily lives.
I believe that public office is a citizen service and that if we are able, we should give back to our state and country. Upon completion of our service, we are to return to our former job and life and live under the policies and laws we produced. Political office should not be one's life career.
A politician can promise anything to get elected, then conveniently forget those promises while in office. A voter can only determine which candidate deserves their vote by comparing what he or she has done in their lives. It took hard work for me to earn a Master's degree in Civil Engineering. It took hard work to be married for over 35 years and raise a family. I've worked hard for almost 4 decades building a successful business and employing hundreds of people, and it's hard to be a man of faith and a servant in your community. If I'm elected, I can only promise that I will work hard everyday using my life experiences and wisdom to represent the citizens of District 87 and the citizens of our great state to the best of my ability.
