We all know that "politics as usual" won't cut it anymore. Politicians have consistently failed to follow through on the promises they made during their campaigns. People deserve better, and they want to be represented by the people they elect. Whenever I talk to you, you remind me that Nebraska needs better leadership. You remind me that you are looking for leaders who want to solve problems the right way, leaders who will work with everyone to get the right things done in Lincoln. I want to be that kind of leader in the Unicameral, one who can re-earn the trust of Nebraskans everywhere by standing tall for your values.

Over the coming days and months, I will lay out a positive vision for how we can help all Nebraskans grow. It is a vision that includes strengthening Nebraska families and improving our education system to help children of all races, creeds, and backgrounds. It is a vision that includes freeing small businesses from onerous regulations to help them create good-paying jobs. It is a vision that includes reforming our tax code to make Nebraska businesses competitive again. It is a vision that includes people of all political parties, professions, genders, and races.
