Favorite President and Why:

Ronald Reagan - He was the last, great President that the citizens of the United States elected. Most of the positive changes that have occurred world-wide in the past few decades was because of President Reagan and his policies. I consider myself to be a Reagan Republican.

Priority Issues:

Job creation: Less taxes. More tax payers. The more Michigan residents there are working, the less that are on unemployment or tax payer hand-outs. The more people who work, the more income for that family. The more Michigan families earn, the more they will spend. The more they spend, more products need to be made or services provided. The more products that need to be made or services provided, the more people need to be hired to make the products / provide the service. The more Michigan residents that are working and not on unemployment or taking tax payer hand-outs, etc. The cycle continually repeats...This also generates more income for Michigan by more people paying income tax and sales taxes. It also saves Michigan money by reducing the number of people on unemployment benefits or receiving welfare benefits from the working tax payers.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I'm running for office because I firmly believe that the government should work FOR and BENEFIT the people of Michigan - not the other way around, where modern day professional politicians work for their own self interests or the interests of those groups/organizations/special interests that keep them in those careers flush with campaign money. I'm not seeking office to make friends in Lansing or with those who are financing our politicians. I seek NO DONATIONS or endorsements from any groups or organizations. The only people I am beholden too are my neighbors, my community and the other residents of Michigan. I want to re-introduce common sense, integrity and civic duty back into the government process. I want at least one community to have faith and confidence in their representative. I want to do the people's work, be the people's voice and be their defender in an organization that seems to place self-interest over public interest. My hope is that I will find more 'new blood' representatives who believe as I do, that they are there to REPRESENT, not dictate. I do NOT intend to become a professional politician. I intend to execute my duties as my supporters demand and when my time is up, to find and support a replacement who can carry on the peoples' mandate before returning to a private life. I don't compromise: when you are right and you compromise to appease others - you're wrong.
