Harry S Truman - He came out of a corrupt political system but had his honor and integrity. WWI hero, tried and failed in business, always had humility. He saved lives and taxpayer dollars as watchdog. When Roosevelt died suddenly he took over and had to make the decision invade Japan or drop the bomb. In 1948 election overcame great odds and won the Presidency. He relieved MacArthur and avoided what could have been another World War. He was always a common American to the last of his days and spoke the language to prove it.
