Vote to pass a bill that requires health insurers to cover gender transition reversal procedures in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Requires health insurers to provide coverage for the following (Sec. 3406ww):

• Any adverse consequences to a gender transition procedure or treatment;

• Annual screening or testing necessary to monitor the enrollee’s mental and physical health; and 

• Any procedure or treatment necessary to reverse a gender transition procedure or treatment.

• Specifies that an insurer must provide the coverage described above to an enrollee who has undergone a gender transition procedure or treatment while enrolled in a policy with that insurer (Sec. 3406ww).
