Vote to pass a bill that requires chain restaurants in California to display a label on beverage items with high added sugar content.
Specifies that an “added sugar icon” is an image of a sugar cube inside a black triangle (Sec. 1).
Defines “high added sugar content” as 100% or more per serving of the daily value for added sugar determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (Sec. 1).
