Title: Estabishes a Moratorium on Certain Property Tax Reappraisals
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a moratorium on property tax reappraisals in certain counties in North Carolina.
Requires every county with a population of 15,000 or greater and that had a reappraisal of real property become effective January 1, 2026 to use the schedule of values adopted with the most recent reappraisal prior to that date (Sec. 1).
Authorizes real property value appraisals that were set to become effective January 1, 2026 in affected counties to become effective instead on July 1, 2027 (Sec. 1).
Specifies that section 1 of this act takes effect upon passage (Sec. 3).
