Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes the crime of second degree cruelty to the elderly and individuals with infirmities in Louisiana.

Highlights:

• Expands the list of offenses that qualify as crimes of violence to include second degree cruelty to the elderly and persons with infirmities (Sec. 2).

• Expands the definitions of first and second degree murder to include the killing of a person while perpetrating second degree cruelty to the elderly and persons with infirmities (Sec. 30).
