Vote to pass a bill that requires disclosure of synthetic advertising content in Pennsylvania.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the dissemination of any advertisement that contains artificially generated content without a disclosure that (Sec. 3):

• States that the advertisement contains content that was modified or generated using artificial intelligence (AI);

• Is displayed in the first instance that AI is being presented to the consumer;

• Is presented in the same medium as the advertisement featuring AI; and

• Is permanent or extraordinarily difficult to remove from the AI advertising content.

• Specifies that a violation of this act constitutes a violation of the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (Sec. 4).

• Exempts advertising published without knowledge of the presence of AI generated content (Sec. 5).

• Specifies that this Act shall take effect one year after passage (Sec. 6).
