Title: Requires an Increase in the Minimum Number of School Days
Vote to pass a bill that requires an increase in the minimum number of school days in Oklahoma.
Increases the minimum number of days of instruction required for a school district that adopts a school-hours policy from 166 to 173 beginning with the 2027-2028 school year (Sec. 1).
Requires a school district that holds parent-teacher conferences during a regular school day to provide an in-person meeting option for parents and legal guardians (Sec. 1).
Specifies that this Act becomes effective July 1, 2027, only if state appropriations to the Department of Education for fiscal year 2028 are at least $175 million greater than appropriations for fiscal 2026 (Sec. 2).
