Vote to pass a bill that requires the determination of Medicaid applicants' immigration status, and notification of federal immigration officials when an applicant in Oklahoma is unverified as a citizen.

Highlights:

• Requires the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to use the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system to determine the citizenship of those applying to receive benefits under the Medicaid program (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to report Medicaid applicants found not to be lawfully in the United States to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office (Sec. 1).

• Requires the confirmation of a Medicaid applicant’s legal status in the U.S. before they receive benefits conferred by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Attorney General’s office to review the cases they receive and notify the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) if the applicant’s legal presence in the U.S. is not verifiable (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the Oklahoma Health Care Authority will post a notice on its website providing information about Medicaid to notify applicants that their immigration status will be reviewed and that ICE will be notified if it is found to be unverified (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that this Act will take effect on October 1, 2026 (Sec. 2).
