Highlights:

• Requires qualified voters to register their political party affiliation before voting in countywide or statewide primary elections (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits voters who have already registered their party affiliation from changing their party during a period that begins 60 days before a primary election through the corresponding general elections (Sec. 1).

• Requires applications for registration to include a provision that requires applicants to specify their party affiliation beginning July 1, 2027 (Sec. 2).
