Title: Prohibits Law Enforcement From Wearing Face Coverings

    • A device necessary for underwater use;

    • A motorcycle helmet when using a motorcycle or other similar vehicle;

    • Protective eyewear;

    • A facial covering used by an officer assigned to a special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team or other specialized tactical unit; and

    • A facial covering used by an officer assigned to an undercover or surveillance unit where the protection of the officer’s identity is determined necessary by the Department of Criminal Justice Services.

  • Classifies a violation of this section as a Class 1 misdemeanor (Sec. 1).
