Title: Establishes Standards of Responsible Conduct for Firearm Industry Members
Vote to pass a bill that establishes standards of responsible conduct for firearm industry members in Virginia.
Defines a “firearm industry member” as an individual engaged in the sale, manufacture, distribution, import, or marketing of a firearm-related product (Sec. 1).
Prohibits a firearm industry member from knowingly creating, maintaining, or contributing to a public nuisance through the sale, manufacture, import, or marketing of a firearm-related product (Sec. 1).
Requires a firearm industry member to establish and implement reasonable controls regarding the manufacture, sale, distribution, use, and marketing of their products (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a violation of the previous provisions is a public nuisance (Sec. 1).
Authorizes action to be brought by the Attorney General or any individual injured as a result of a violation of this section to obtain an injunction prohibiting the firearm industry member from continuing prohibited conduct, and seeking award for damages (Sec. 1).
