Title: Expands the Statute of Limitations for Civil Actions against Criminal Sexual Conduct
Vote to pass a bill that expands the statute of limitations for civil actions against criminal sexual conduct from only 10 years to 10 years after the time the claim accrues, until the individual reaches the age of 42, 7 years after the discovery of the individual's injury being a result of criminal sexual conduct, or anytime if there is a criminal prosecution as a result in the conduct that results in a conviction for criminal sexual conduct.
Prohibits individuals from bringing a new claim to recover damages after the initial time frame from the original claim (Sec. 5805).
Specifies that the period of limitations is 3 years after injury for action to be taken (Sec. 5805).
Specifies that the period of limitations is 5 years for an individual spouse or former spouse to bring about a claim about criminal sexual misconduct (Sec. 5805).
