Title: Increases Restrictions on Abortion Pills
Vote to pass a bill that increases restrictions on abortion pills and authorizes private citizens to sue out-of-state providers of the medication for $100,000 or more in Texas.
Increases restrictions on abortion pills and authorizes private citizens to sue out-of-state health care providers of the medication for $100,000 or more in Texas (Sec. 2).
Defines “Health care provider” as an individual who is licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized by this state to diagnose, prevent, alleviate, or cure a human illness or injury.
Specifies that the term does not include a physician (Sec. 2).
Defines “Physician” as an individual licensed to practice medicine in this state, including a medical doctor and a doctor of osteopathic medicine (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 90 days after the final adjournment date of the current legislative session (Sec. 5).
