Vote to amend and pass a bill that exempts ambulances from road tolls or fees in California.

Highlights:

• Exempts authorized emergency vehicles from paying any toll or charge on a vehicular crossing, toll highway, or high-occupancy toll as long as they have the property license plate and agency identification (Sec. 1).

• Exempts vehicles being utilized to respond to urgent or emergency calls (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the Agency Head or Chief to certify in writing that a vehicle is exempt in the event the tool operator attempts to charge (Sec. 1).
