Title: Requires Youth Camps to Submit Disaster Emergency Preparedness Plans
Vote to pass a bill that requires youth camps to submit disaster emergency preparedness plans in Texas.
Requires youth camps in the state to submit disaster emergency preparedness plans for 12 kinds of disasters, including fires, floods, and illness (Sec. 2).
Establishes civil penalties, including fines and the revoking of a camp’s license, for youth camps that fail to comply (Sec. 2).
Prohibits youth camps from building cabins within a floodplain (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately if passed by a two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate (Sec. 5).
