Title: Expands Regulations for Online Gambling Advertisements and Payment Methods

  • Requires licensed online gaming operators, online gaming service providers, and sports wagering retailers to do each of the following (Sec. 1):

    • Prohibit individuals from making more than one account on each electronic wagering platform under their control;

    • Limit individuals to the use of one debit or one credit card for an account and obtain permission from all account holders before authorizing any charges;

    • Authorize an individual to limit the amount of money that can be deposited into an account and spent per day;

    • Establish a voluntary self-exclusion process to allow an individual to prevent themselves from making an account or spending a certain amount; and

    • Display information on responsible gambling.

  • Prohibits licensed online gaming entities from advertising directly to individuals who are a part of the self-exclusion list, or who are under 18 or 21 years of age, depending on the type of wagering offered by the gaming operator (Sec. 1).

  • Prohibits licensed online gaming entities from offering any financial incentive to induce individuals to engage in gambling (Sec. 1).

  • Prohibits licensed online gaming entities from implying increased winning odds compared to other entities or representing players’ financial success (Sec. 1).
