Vote to pass a bill that amends how school performance grades are calculated for school districts, by stating the schools will not have their grade impacted by students who are absent in school multiple times past the first instance in Iowa.

Highlights:

• Exempts students who return to school after dropping out and subsequently drop out again from the calculation of a school's performance grade (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
