Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that requires artificial intelligence training for all state employees in Texas.

Highlights:

• Amends existing code for all state and local government agencies, as well as school districts, to add a requirement for artificial intelligence training in addition to the already required cybersecurity training (Sec. 1-6).

• Requires that at least five artificial intelligence training programs are certified for state and local government employees annually, and that they are equal in length to certified cybersecurity training programs (Sec. 7).

• Specifies that the certified artificial intelligence training programs must focus on teaching state employees how artificial intelligence may be used in relation to their duties, and teach best practices on literacy in deploying artificial intelligence technologies (Sec. 7).
