Vote to pass a bill that amends certain statutes for traffic stops concerning properly displaying a number plate, lamps, and illuminating devices, windshields and registration in Connecticut.
Amends certain statutes for traffic stops concerning properly displaying a number plate, lamps, and illuminating devices, windshields and registration in Connecticut (Sec. 1-10).
Prohibits motorists with license plate frames that partially obscure part of the plate, from being stopped by law enforcement (Sec. 1-10).
Authorizes motorists to hang those ubiquitous air fresheners from rear-view mirrors, as well as highway toll passes on their windshields (Sec. 1-10).
Increases penalties in line with reckless driving for those traveling more than 100 miles per hour (Sec. 1-10).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning October 1, 2025 (Sec. 11).
