Prohibits squatting by providing a more concrete procedure for property owners and law enforcement to quickly remove unauthorized occupants from private property in Kentucky (Sec. 1-3).
Establishes criminal penalties for squatters who damage property (Sec. 1-3).
Establishes a civil cause of action for wrongful removal (Sec. 1-3).
Requires the Department of Kentucky State Police to create a form for the petition to remove unlawful occupants (Sec. 1-3).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 4).
