Vote to pass a bill that amends changes to career education and exploration in K-12 schools in Iowa.

Highlights:

• Amends changes to career education and exploration in K-12 schools in Iowa, including expanding career planning curriculum to fifth and sixth grades and adding additional criteria for career education in seventh and 8th grades (Sec. 1-3).

• Authorizes the Iowa Department of Education to (Sec. 1-3):

• Form a list of industry-recognized credentials; and

• Create a seal and provide it to schools to add to student transcripts and other documents if they have earned a credential before graduating.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 4).
