Title: Prohibits Certain Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives and Offices in Private and Community Colleges
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits certain diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and offices in private educational institutions, community colleges, and public entities, in Iowa.
Prohibits public entities and private educational institutions from engaging in certain activities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in Iowa (Sec. 1).
Prohibits schools and state entities from spending any money appropriated by the General Assembly on any activities or offices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (Sec. 2).
Authorizes any individual to notify the Attorney General in the case of a potential violation of the provisions of this bill (Sec. 3).
Authorizes a student or employee of a school or state entity to bring a civil action for injunctive relief against a state entity in the case of a potential violation of the provisions of this bill (Sec. 3).
Requires public institutions of higher education to submit an annual compliance report to the General Assembly and the Governor (Sec. 7).
Requires that unspent funds previously for diversity, equity, and inclusion offices be appropriated to the Iowa Workforce Grant Incentive Program (Sec. 8).
