Highlights:

  • Authorizes the support provided by a therapeutic classroom to include the following  (Sec. 1):

    • Supporting student access to micronutrients, vitamin supplementation, and mineral supplementation, including vitamin “D” and vitamin “K2”;

    • Assessing the macro-nutritional needs of students;

    • Providing minimally processed whole foods, including fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and healthy animal-derived fats and proteins, including eggs, full-fat dairy products, beef, and bacon;

    • Restricting the use and availability of artificial food additives that may hurt activity and attention in students;

    • Remediating the negative impacts of excessive use of digital screens and devices on human biology;

    • Increasing student exposure to natural light or the light emitted by full spectrum lighting fixtures; or

    • Carrying out any other scientifically supported initiative that a school district reasonably believes will improve emotional, social, and behavioral health outcomes among students.

  • Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
