Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Oklahoma Space Renaissance Act, which appropriates $51.3 million into the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority in the next fiscal year, effective July 1, 2025.

Highlights:

• Establishes the Oklahoma Space Renaissance Act (Sec. 1). 

• Appropriates a total of $51.3 million to the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, which shall be given in the following amounts:

• $1.3 million to perform the duties imposed on the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority by law (Sec. 2);

• $35 million to accomplish infrastructure investments at the Oklahoma Air and Space Port to support testing and launching of spacecraft (Sec. 3); and

• $15 million to accomplish infrastructure and programmatic investments in microgravity research (Sec. 4). 

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect July 1, 2025 (Sec. 5).
