Title: Increases Primary Residence Tax Credits
Vote to adopt a conference report that increases primary residence tax credits in North Dakota.
Increases primary residence tax credits from $500 to $1,450 in North Dakota (Sec. 1-26).
Requires annual property tax increases be capped at 3 percent annually (Sec. 1-26).
Authorizes local governments to bank unused tax increases from the previous 5 years, and with the approval of voters exceed the cap for 4 years at a time (Sec. 1-26).
Increases funding for the following 2 state relief programs, including (Sec. 1-26):
The seniors and individuals with disabilities relief program; and
The renter's relief program.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall declare an emergency and shall take effect for taxable years beginning December 31, 2024 (Sec. 27-28).
