Title: Prohibits Transgender Girls from Playing on Female Sports Teams
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that prohibits transgender girls from playing on female sports teams in Georgia.
Prohibits sex-based discrimination of any athletes in any public school-sponsored interscholastic or intramural sports (Sec. 2).
Authorizes public schools to separate sports teams by sex (Sec. 2).
Requires public school sports teams to be designated for (Sec. 2):
Males;
Females; or
Coed.
Prohibits male students from participating on female-designated, public school sports teams (Sec. 2).
Prohibits female students from participating on male-designated, public school sports teams, except if a female-designated team does not exist for a specific sport (Sec. 2).
Authorizes male students to participate in practices, exhibitions, or scrimmages against female-designated teams (Sec. 2).
Requires public schools to provide changing rooms and multiple occupancy restrooms separated by sex (Sec. 2).
Prohibits public schools from allowing male athletes to use the female-designated multiple occupancy restrooms or changing rooms while participating in a sports competition (Sec. 2).
Prohibits public schools from allowing female athletes to use the male-designated multiple occupancy restrooms or changing rooms while participating in a sports competition (Sec. 2).
