Vote to pass a bill that requires state agencies to recommend laws for removal and repeal in Idaho.
Requires state agencies to recommend laws for removal and repeal in Idaho (Sec. 1).
Requires that all state agencies and departments review relevant statutes in Idaho state law and submit a list of obsolete, unnecessary, or redundant laws to the Idaho Legislature by September 1, 2025 (Sec. 1).
Defines “obsolete” as expired, unused, void, unenforceable, or not enforced (Sec. ).
Defines “outdated” as no longer applicable or pertinent, duplicative with other portions of code, or superseded by other laws (Sec. 1).
Defines “unnecessary” in this bill to mean that public health, safety, and welfare are not served by the portion of the code (Sec. 1).
Defines “state agency” as each department, commission, board, council, agency, institution, division, office, committee, authority, or other administrative unit of the state (Sec. 1).
Specifies that his bill declares an emergency and shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
